The Wami/Ruvu Basin Water Board held a meeting with members of the Confederation of Tanzanian Industries (CTI) to discuss progress and challenges identified in the collection of water usage fees, including the concealment of accurate water usage statistics by some industries.

The Wami/Ruvu Basin Water Board is responsible for protecting, maintaining and conserving water and environmental resources in collaboration with various stakeholders in accordance with the Water Resources Management Act Number 11 of 2009.
